We arr thinking about including a feature in our roadmap by which a buyer can share the receipts created in On-demand P2P with the suppliers. Currently, when a buyer receives some goods, suppliers are not notified. We are thinking of sending the received quantities and rejected quantities to suppliers through AN. This will serve as a confirmation to the suppliers and then suppliers can raise the invoices for the quantities received by the buyer.
We would like to know your thoughts on whether it is a good idea to send auto-receipts as well to the suppliers.
We welcome any other thoughts that you might have on this capability.
Solution Manager, Ariba P2P
We utilize manual receipts for an extremely limited amount of transactions. Therefore, asking Ariba to expend resources on developing a way to send mostly unnecessary communications (all of our auto-receipts) back to suppliers would be an extremely poor use of its time. My company has a whole host of other things that we would rather see Ariba develop. I would be happy to discuss those with you if given the opportunity. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your feedback yesterday. I am glad we were able to connect offline so that we could learn more about your business needs. We certainly like everyone's feedback on what we are planning to accomplish in future releases and will strive hard to deliver the features that are of interest to larger community of users.
