We would like to re-order tabs in the Ariba Network for suppliers which are connected to our company - they access the Ariba Network by <company>.supplier.ariba.com. We would like to put the tab with the SPQ on the first position and make this change default for all our suppliers. Don't you know whether it is possible?
we have instructed our suppliers to fill in the Supplier Profile Questionnaire. Unfortunately, many of them are confused because they see many empty fields and questions in tabs which are in front of the Customer Specific tab. They are trying to fill in every field in these tabs regardless they are mandatory or not. It is very time consuming for them and they are complaining that there are lots of questions. To avoid this situation we were wondering whether there was a possibility to move the Customer Specific tab to the first place of the Company Profile screen.
I have already created a Service Request and received an answer that this is not possible since the tab order is somehow hardcoded and common for all Ariba customers.
Yes what support responded is correct however we have couple ways to have the SPQ be the first page suppliers see when they access your site. 1) For existing suppliers in your sire: there is a system parameter that prompts supplier profile at supplier login, the advantage of this parameter is that ensures that all your suppliers will have to review the SPQ immediately after they login before they can continue, the disadvantage is for suppliers that login frequently they will be prompted all the time as well and could be annoying. 2) For new suppliers registering with your company: the full self registration will prompt your SPQ immediately after they confirm registration so it focuses the attention on the profile questionnaire and not the cloud profile.
Thank you for your comment.
We have already tried to set this parameter so the SPQ appeared always after supplier's login. Afterwards we had to deactivate this functionality since a lot of suppliers complained they saw the SPQ even if they had filled in all mandatory questions before (as you described in the point 1). This problem we were solving before the Ariba release 12s1.
Ideally we would like suppliers to see the SPQ only if the SPQ is not completed (missing answers for some mandatory questions) but I would say that Ariba does not support this behavior.
