I am very new to the exchange community.
I am an SAP SRM Consultant and would like to gain knowledge on SAP Ariba Procurement, Sourcing, Contract solutions and catalog.
Can some one please guide me on how to start?
Are there any certification for Ariba like SAP?
Any good books around these topics?
Any pointers would be of great help.
Please accept my apologies in advance if this question has been asked earlier
Welcome to Ariba Exchange! Thanks for sharing your question with our community. At this time, we do not offer a formal certification program that's similar to what you've experienced with SAP. You can find some helpful information at the SAP Service Marketplace - here's the link for the Ariba RDS https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/rds-ariba
In addition, SAP Mentor Tridip Chakraborthy recently penned a thoughtful blog post at SCN about the topic of skill set expansion.

Many thanks for the links, this is certailnly very helpful.
I have few more queries..
Thanks a lot,
Anubhav- Ariba University courses are meant for customers and partners, but I don't think we restrict registration. I can double-check that if you're interested. There is no test and, to the best of my knowledge, there is not any certification program in Ariba, nor will there be one in the near-term. You may find the classes useful as an introduction to Ariba, but the program is very different from programs you may have attended offered by SAP.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for the information, yes please check if attending course is for only customers or partners. One more confusion, I am trying to register for a course but when I checkout I see 3 items in my cart for one course and all are same, am I doing something wrong or is it that way only?
Please see the attached snap.
Thanks once again,
Don't worry about the three entries: that's the master entry and one line for each day (as it's a two-day class).
I checked with my management: we don't require you to be a customer or partner in order to register for the class. You should be good. If you have any issues, just email email@example.com.
