Ask your vendor for help: If you’re working with an individual sales person, he or she can act as a major resource for you — as long as you ask.

 

Sometimes that can mean asking questions that duplicate research you’ve already done, but as long as your sales rep knows that you value the advice and information you get, he or she is more likely to give you a heads up when new opportunities are available.
