Question: Does the email approval allow for documentation review if necessary?
Answer: Yes, you can set it up so that the document is attached to the approval email. But, you cannot remotely change the document. The approver would need to log in to upload any changes to the document.
Question: Is approval automatically given permission to the workspace even if he/she is not in the Team? i.e. I do not need to add approver to the team.
Answer: If the approval task is set up so the approver is a user or a group of users and your access control setting is set to "Private to Team Members", you must have the approver on the team tab. If you have the approver linked to a project group on the team tab, you must populate the group to send the approver to that user. But, if the access control is set to no value, you do not need to put anyone on the team tab to give any access.
Question: I didn't catch the email screen approval fully, but did I see an attachment icon to the email notification that actually allows for documentation review prior to approving by email or was I just seeing things?
Answer: Yes, the contract was attached to the approval email.
Question: Is there anything special that needs to be done to allow the approver to approve without login?
Answer: You can log a service request with customer support and request the parameter to be turned on to enabel offline email approvals.
