Thank you to those of you who attended this Webinar. Below are a few of the questions from the sessions with their corresponding answers. The full list of questions and answers from the session is attached to this post. Please feel free to use Ariba Exchange to respond to this post and interact with your peers. We look forward to speaking with you again in a future session!
Question: How do you update the email messages that go out to suppliers when an RFP is published, so the suppliers know to respond to the message tab instead of personal work email address?
Answer: When in the Summary step, go to the Actions menu on the right hand side of the screen and select Customize Messages. You can also enter this requirement within the Content of the event as part of the "Rules of the event". Another method that we typically recommend is to send out an invitation letter (via email) preparing the suppliers on how to participate in the event.
Question: Does "download all attachments" take attachments from the content as well as the messages? Is there a way for Ariba to name the documents within the vendor folders to indicate vendor name as well?
Answer: The attachments are from the content only, not from the messaging tab. Ariba does name the folders with the vendor names.
Question: In a full project, how do you create a multi-stage event (RFI to RFP) or (RFP to RA), such that invited supplier and existing responses are preserved from one event to another?
Answer: In a Full Project template, you can have so that users answer "Questions" such as "Will you be creating an RFI?", "Will you be creating an RFP?" at the creation of the Full Project, this will add an RFI or RFP or both to the Documents tab as Events. After running the RFI, you can copy those responses into an RFP using the "Copy Content from Library" feature which will then allow you to bring suppliers' answers from the RFI into the RFP.
Question: Is there a specific size of attachments that could be uploaded by supplier?
Answer: Size limit is 100MB.
Question: Does the log tell you the last time a suupplier accessed the RFP?
Answer: It does not. However if you go to the Suppliers tab, click on the table icon on the top right and select "Last Login Date", the column will display the information on the screen for you.
