Question: What's the difference between a status of intends to participate and participated?
Answer: Intends to participate means that the supplier has accepted the bidder agreement but have not yet submitted any responses. Participated means that they have accepted the bidder agreement and have submitted responses in the event.
Question: Does locking a supplier stop them from receiving event messages from the event owner?
Answer: Yes, if you lock a supplier out of an event, they will no longer receive notifications and messages from the system/buyer.
Question: Can the participants respond directly to the email or do they need to login and write a message back using the messages view in the RFP?
Answer: Suppliers need to log into the tool to respond to the message and have it recorded in the system.
Question: How do you close out an event if no award was given?
Answer: You can click on the option to Close the event, which will set it to the status of Completed. Just keep in mind that this will "lock" the event in this status and you will no longer be able to reopen it or award from it.
Question: In the dropdownbox in the scenario there is a number in brackets behind the supplier name! Why is that?
Answer: The number in brackets indicates the supplier's rank for that particular item or lot.
