If you are considering spend analysis and the value that such an initiative can bring to your organization, AMR Research recently published an excellent piece, Spend Visibility: Do You Have the Correct Lenses?.  The paper dives into several real-world use cases detailing successes of practitioners. And according to their research, here are some figures to consider in regards to organizations that do not leverage spend analytics:

  • 55% of spend, on average is untapped
  • 10% to 15% in savings exist in categories that have not been considered
  • 6% in savings is missed out on in those categories that are managed actively
