The 12s1 release introduced several valuable new Seller Collaboration Console features that simplify navigation and enhance usability. However, there are five things you must know before logging in to this next-generation user interface for the first time—or, if you’re a sourcing seller, to continue working seamlessly on your sourcing events. By familiarizing yourself with them, you can ensure that your experience in using the Ariba Seller Collaboration Console will flow smoothly from day one.

MUST-KNOW ITEM #1: How to Confirm Your Ariba Commerce Cloud Username and Company Profile

The most important action item for any Ariba Sourcing™, Ariba® Network, Ariba Discovery™, or Ariba Contract Management™ user is to establish your Ariba Commerce Cloud username. You must do this the first time you log into any of these applications!

Ariba Sourcing Users:

  1. If you use Ariba Sourcing, it is crucial that you utilize your Ariba Commerce Cloud username the first time—and every time—you log in to each of your sourcing events. By doing this, you enable all your sourcing events to be displayed in a collaboration dashboard and eliminate the need to log in to each event separately in the future.
  2. If you already have an Ariba Commerce Cloud account, when you select the link in the sourcing event email, the Welcome screen recognizes your email. You should click on “Continue” to log in using your existing username and password. If you don’t remember your username or password, follow the steps described in Must-Know Item #2, below.
  3. If you don’t know whether you have an Ariba Commerce Cloud account, contact your account administrator.
  4. If Ariba doesn’t recognize the email address from which you received the sourcing event invitation, you’ll get the following Welcome screen recommending that you create your Ariba Commerce Cloud account. If you don’t know whether you already have an account, select “Click here if you already have an Ariba Commerce Cloud, Ariba Discovery or Ariba Network account” and try your username and password. If you do not remember your username or password, follow the “How to Reset Your Password and Find Your Username” steps described in Must-Know Item #2, below.
  5. You will be prompted to confirm your company profile information and accept the new Ariba Terms.
  6. To review the updated Data Policy, Privacy Policy, and Ariba Terms, click on the respective hyperlinks at the bottom of the page.
  7. Accept the new Ariba Terms and click on “Submit.” This is now your Ariba Commerce Cloud username that you can use in every Ariba Commerce Cloud application.
  8. You can now proceed to your activity.

Ariba Network and Ariba Discovery Users:

  1. If you use the Ariba Network or Ariba Discovery, log in to Ariba at http://seller.ariba.com with your current Ariba Network or Ariba Discovery username (you can log in via http://supplier.ariba.com or http://discovery.ariba.com as well). If you have forgotten your username or password, follow the steps described in Must-Know Item #2 below.
  2. You’ll be prompted to confirm your company profile information and accept the new Ariba Terms.
  3. To review the updated Data Policy, Privacy Policy, and Ariba Terms, click on the respective hyperlinks at the bottom of the page.
  4. Accept the new Ariba Terms and click on “Submit.” This is now your Ariba Commerce Cloud username that you can use in every Ariba Commerce Cloud application.
  5. You can now proceed to your activity.

MUST-KNOW ITEM #2: How to Reset Your Password and Find Your Username

If you forget your password or username, you can now have your username sent to your email address and reset your password without contacting Ariba Customer Service.

  1. Select “Forgot Password” or “Forgot Username” on the login page.
  2. For your username, type in your email address and your username will be sent to the email address on record. If you do not receive an email immediately, check your spam filter.
  3. For your password, you will be taken through the password reset wizard, where you will be asked to answer the secret question you set up in your user profile.
  4. After you answer correctly, type in your new password and confirm.

MUST-KNOW ITEM #3: How to Link User Accounts

Many sellers have separate accounts (i.e., separate ANIDs, with different usernames and passwords) for different Ariba solutions. To optimize navigation, you can now link your user accounts and switch easily between them.

  1. Access the User Information page from the User Navigation drop-down.
  2. Select “Link User IDs.”
  3. Type in the username and password for the user account you wish to link.
  4. Select “OK” and your accounts will be linked and accessible via the User Navigation drop-down.

MUST-KNOW ITEM #4: How to Use Single-Click Navigation

You can now navigate between Ariba solutions (under the Leads, Proposals, Contracts, and Orders & Invoices tabs) by utilizing the single-click Property Navigation feature. To navigate between multiple accounts within a solution, you can utilize the User Navigation drop-down.

MUST-KNOW ITEM #5: How to Take Advantage of Help Documentation

This new release offers enhanced product help and documentation. To learn more about how to configure your profile and link company accounts, you can review comprehensive documentation and tutorials on Help@Ariba.

  1. Access Product Documentation from the Help drop-down.
  2. Select the appropriate tab to search for your specific topic.
