As part of our intensified focus on optimizing customer experience, SAP Ariba recently decided to put the power in the hands of our end-users by creating a new community voting program. The goal? To give you a quick, easy way to tell us which product features you want most so we can prioritize development based on your wishes and needs.
Through a simple social-media-style voting tool—accessible by clicking the banner from your home screen in any SAP Ariba sourcing or procurement cloud solution—we invited you to cast your ballots on a wide range of potential feature enhancements beginning March 14. The tool was available in 16 different languages, enabling us to capture input on a truly global scale. And we’re thrilled to report that you responded with enthusiasm! During the 10-week voting period, we received close to 19,000 votes from users at 810 customer organizations.
And the winners are…
After tallying everything up, we announced the final results in the community voting tool on June 13. Out of 40 different feature enhancement requests contending for the top slots, 11 were selected for enablement. Here’s a high-level overview of the winning features, benefits, and planned release dates:

Mass-edit invoice and invoice reconciliation of line-item details: Lets you mass-edit line-item details—such as accounting data, commodity code information, and custom field values—on invoices and invoice reconciliations, and take actions more easily through new dashboards
Make informed purchases through improved catalog product images: Enables you to add image files or URL images for generated subscription items in catalogs to enjoy a more consumer-like shopping experience
Create custom catalog forms to capture additional item details—Makes it easier to order and approve items that require detailed information, such as business cards, taxi services, or food orders
Make the contents of scanned documents searchable: Lets you search documents scanned from paper copies and uploaded to your Ariba solution

Create less complex contracts more quickly: Allows you to use a simpler contract creation flow for contracts that don’t have detailed processes (perfect for creating non-disclosure agreements and third-party paper contracts)
