The best way to get detailed help with your issue will be to create a Service Request with Ariba Technical Support (through your Ariba Connect account). They will be able to talk you through troubleshooting steps and figure out any configuration differences between your Test and Production environments that might be causing your issue.

be glad to try and help. Which field on which fact table are you having problems with? If it's a date field try setting the option "Include data with dates not set (unclassified)" from the Refine Data screen. Also, did you try setting a search value to confirm "unclassified" is a valid value for the field you are working with? Hope this works for you.
