I am in the Solutions Management team and wanted to respond to your inquiry. I do know that a supplier's existing punch out technology can be leveraged to set up the level 2 punchout catalog. The implementation requires the same "login logic", plus a means to direct the user to a location in the catalog bsaed on the selected item content. This is done by coding in their shopping interface to perform this redirection. They update the contents of the selected item to direct the user to a site, aisle, shelf, or item.
I would like to contact you via email to provide you some information I gathered from our Network and Catalog Content teams. Then, if you have a need for further assistance, I'll be happy to help you.

We are a supplier and looking to continue to develope our B2B capability. I have been trying to find technical documentation on Level II punchout for our IT team but have not had much luck. Is this something you can send me as well? I look forward to hearing from you.

An optional approach for suppliers to support Level 2 Punchout is to use a standard Punchout CIF and populate the part number field with either the specific sku or search criteria. When the supplier receives the POSR it can take the part number value and incorporate it into the redirect URL and populate the search criteria on the punchout store. Thus using the index file to work with the punchout stores existing search functionality.
Level 2 PunchOut is documented in Chapter 6, "PunchOut Transaction" in the cXML Solutions Guide.
