You can use CDATA for avoiding this error.The term CDATA is used about text data that should not be parsed by the XML parser.Characters like "<" and "&" are illegal in XML elements.A CDATA section starts with "<![CDATA[" and ends with "]]>". For more information , have a look on the link:
I gave it a shot but still came up with an error when loading it into Ariba as a parametric type data file. When I look at it in the xml editor it also shows up very differently that what I expect.
The examples I provided above do exactly what I'm looking for but for some reason when loading into Ariba it errors out.
At this point I have dropped the Ampersand from the canonical value and hope this will be satisfactory but will keep trying to get it working.
