    Application Server for development

    Rodrigo Lanza Novice

      Hi all,

I'm wondering if it's possible to use a lightweight application server instead of weblogic for Ariba development instances. Does anyone have experience with different application servers? Any suggestion?

      Thanks in advance.

In addition to WebLogic Server, Ariba supports Tomcat and WebSphere Application Server.  The Ariba On-Premise Platform Certification Matrix, which can be found on the On-Premise Product Info Pages on Ariba Connect, provides details regarding the supported versions and configurations for these applications servers.

I still use weblogic which I think it is easier to install ariba with (from the install UI, Tomcat is not listed and reconfigure for example can be difficult, see some open SR in connect)

also using weblogic you can enable only 1 node (remove reference to the second node from weblogic confi.xml and ariba parameters.table files) and give it less memory if you really need to
