Is anybody able to use contract management to enable commitment management?

Is anyone using Ariba contract management to support/enable commitment management. i.e. identify, track and manage obligations within the contract documentation, not just the 'meta' data from the contract like end dates etc.

Any views on whether this is possible within Ariba would be helpful too.

          Hello Matthew,

Ariba Contract Management is typically used to track Process, Expiration Notifications, Agreements & for the Clause Library management. However, there is an integration point in Ariba Contracts Pro that links with Ariba's Procurement application called Procure-to-Pay (P2P). Within P2P a powerful functionality exists that fits what you're looking for and it is called Ariba Contract Compliance (ACC). This tool allows customers to track commitments by enabling suppliers to invoice against their contracts. It also allows customers to dynamically discount pricing based on spending tiers and terms. The ACC functionality is easily integrated with Contracts Pro but you must have P2P to use this functionality.

Let me know if you have additional questions. Thanks,
