For common integration scenarios for integration between SAP Business Suite (with a heavy focus on SAP ERP) and Ariba Network or Ariba Procure-to-Pay/Order, SAP does provide packaged best practice guides/instructions via SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions which can be downloaded for free for registered SAP customers and SAP Partners at the SAP Service Marketplace at:
https://service.sap.com/rds-cloud then navigate to Supplier and pick the appropriate package (AN or P2P) and download the content. If you have access issues, you'll need to address this with your customer's basis team members, or with your own SAP Partner advisor which Debbie also pointed you to.
You'll have prescribed integration guidance for the best integration options for the most commonly required standard SAP document types & data. A good blog from Andreas Muno can also be found here which goes into a little more detail here: http://scn.sap.com/DOC-64734 .
Hope this helps!

Have You got any useful information?
Thanks Everybody. i have access to the admin, config documents, data dictionary, csv files, enablement workbooks and there are plenty of them which i am reading and trying to understand. Right now my objective is to sit down with client and prepare the core model and then deploy the core model accross the 15 odd countries and then address local nuances as appropriate. When i say core model i mean the core functional design for the client which will be collection of several sub functional design componets (for e.g listed below) and to arrive at this i need to share what is in the standard, what are the best practicess and then recommend to client which will then feed into the core functional configuration document which will then drive data requirements (master, config, transactional) etc. So right now i dont know how to approach this core design activity, where to start what should be the key activities in the workshop toics to cover in workshop, any templates, ppts, documents to drive discussion in workshop. e.g for the approval process design what are the key things we need to discuss in the workshop, what are the decision points, what data we will need, template in which data will be provided e.g approval limits, category based approval, what is standard in Ariba etc. Right now i am not prepared to lead the approval workshop as an e.g so people who have done implementation (P2P - SAP) scenario can help me here. i need learnings from folks who have the scars:)
- global approval structure
- user restrictions
- global invoice exception types
- decide PU/FPC structure
Can You please share the documents.
