David Morel Apr 29, 2016 7:59 AM (in response to Christian Steenberg)First question is why are you using a lot with just one item? Just use an item. Second, it sounds like you want a formula that uses Total Cost, to be shown in the total cost field? That sounds like a circular formula.

Ok, I'm adding one item. Event type is Total Cost Auction with bid transformation.
I would like to add a cost element that is calculated like this:
ResellValue = ('Price'*'ResellValuePct')*((1+'InterestRate')^'DiscountPeriod')
Where
ResellValuePct = 20%
InterestRate = 10%
DiscountPeriod = 4
I'm able to add the terms and add a formula that calculates the ResellValue.
How do I define that a formula is relevant for the Total Cost calculation?

David Morel Apr 29, 2016 8:51 AM (in response to Christian Steenberg)Why transformation auction? Use standard Total Cost auction. Enable formulas in the template. Enter your formula for resell value. Then edit the Total Cost formula. What do you want that to be?

Re: Total Cost Event with Cost Term calculated as a formula
Christian Steenberg Apr 29, 2016 8:48 AM (in response to David Morel)Played around some more. Maybe the way is just to calculate the ResellFactor outside Ariba and then add it per supplier as a "Term, (Multiplier), include in cost".
So I add Term named ResellFactor and I calculate the value as (ResellValuePct')*((1+'InterestRate')^'DiscountPeriod') in excel and add it per supplier.

Re: Total Cost Event with Cost Term calculated as a formula
David Morel Apr 29, 2016 8:53 AM (in response to Christian Steenberg)No, no reason to do that. You have to either edit the TC formula in the template or enable for the the end user building the event to be able to edit it. You do that in the template also, click "Delegate to Initiator" on the TC term in the item definition for the item.
